Exploring Belfast & Northern IrelandThe Dark Hedges, Carrick-a-Rede

I’m a little late with this post, you’ll have to forgive me, I spent whole last week in bed sick. But this one is worth of wait πŸ™‚

We spent Easter weekend exploring Belfast and the coast of Northern Ireland. It was absolutely amazing! I fell in love with Belfast instantly, really deep and hard. It kept lots of it’s “British” charm but has more European and urban feeling then Dublin. There’s no shortage of locals who will tell you where to go and what to do, Black Taxi Tour is a must, and at evening you can’t go wrong with The Dirty Onion or Duke of York.

On Easter Sunday we went to see The Dark Hedges (that place became famous after a scene in The Game of Thrones was filmed there), Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and were meant to go see The Giant’s Causeway. But being in Ireland, you can never be sure what’s going to happen πŸ™‚

The Dark Hedges was crowded with people and cars driving by, the sky was gloomy and grey but it is a beautiful spot and worth a visit. And I managed to get a nice photo on our way back! As soon as we got to Carrick-a-Rede the sun came out and the view over the cliffs was just breathtaking! One of the most beautiful places I have ever been for sure! But as soon as we were meaning to go to the famous rope bridge clouds changed our plans. Everything just turned to mist an you couldn’t see anything…

On our way to Giant’s Causeway we were passing White Park Bay and we just had to stop. We spent the rest of the afternoon on the beach and you could say- it was more then enough πŸ™‚ We’ll just have to visit again to see everything else, one day is just not enough.

Anyway, enough talking, take a look!
