Barbara & HarryKillashee House Hotel WeddingDocumentary wedding photographer Ireland

I was very excited about this wedding and flattered by the fact a friend photographer has recommended me to do it! It’s funny how things happen and how some people just naturally become friends. I met Claire probably through some of the photographer groups on Facebook and after second shooting with her we became quite a good friends. When I heard she recommended me to her really close friends to be their wedding photographer it meant so much! Plus, I knew it’s going to be quite a wedding because I’ve heard of Barbara & Harry and their group of friends long before I met them.

I met Barbara & Harry when we did their engagement session last autumn. They met at a friends birthday party thirteen years ago and have been together ever since. They are so lovely with each other… You can see the kindness in their interactions, little quirky inside jokes and so much love…

Their wedding was such a great start of the wedding season, included so much of their personal story, little details, amazing friends and family who just made he day so much special. The wedding theme was focused on stars. Throughout the day, there was lots of DIY star elements including presents for the bridesmaids, mothers, father of the bride, star pew ends, lots of paper elements, star decorations on all of the dining chairs, star garlands, hanging stars around the stairs, table numbers, a wishing tree, seating plan, cake topper, menus… There was so much thought and effort put in to making this just a perfect day for the two of them. One person I have to mention here was Niamh from Niamh Spain Jewellery Design , an amazing friend who created lots of these amazing details! And special thanks to my friend Sofia who was second shooting with me!

Thank you so much Barbara & Harry for trusting me to document your wedding day, I loved every bit of it!
