This was the first wedding at Cabra Castle for me. And it was just the beginning of the wedding season. I first met Francine and Greg for their engagement session in Belfast prior to the wedding. And might I mention that first we went for a pint at Belfast finest- Duke of York. They are one of the funniest and loveliest couples ever. The kind you want to be friends with. They flew in from the States for the wedding where they lived. Now they are living the life of true adventurers traveling the world and enjoying life. What a couple! Their wedding at Cabra Castle was definitely one of my favorites from last year.
The wedding day started with bride and groom getting ready at the castle. As it always is, bride’s room was busy and full of excitement. Bride and groom exchanged presents which were made of so many little things and with so much thought. I think for both of them it was probably best part of the morning to go trough those presents and reading the cards.
Their wedding was also very much about family and friends. Grooms family flew in from the States, both her and his family had a huge part in their day and were just amazing support. Her mom made her veil which was work of art, her sisters made all the reception DIY details & decorated the cake, his sister made a slideshow which was played during dinner reception. They also had friends from literally all over the world come for the wedding! And you could feel all of the emotions on the day.
After the church ceremony and the drinks reception we sneak off to do some portraits on the castle grounds. It was a chance for them to get away and to have a moment just for them self. And they loved it 🙂
Francine & Greg, thank you so so much for having me there, loved every bit of it!!
