I’ve been excited about this wedding months before it even happened. Aisling and Alan have been amazing from the first contact. Getting to know them makes me feel like a friend rather than just a photographer. That’s one thing about weddings. By the end of the day having a part in such a meaningful day you get to know the families, their friends, get to know them on a much more personal level and walk away feeling privileged because they put so much trust in you. It’s an amazing thing, really…
Aisling and Alan met during their last year of college and had a long distance relationship for years. He proposed last summer during holidays in Austria and proved he’s more romantic than he would like to admit. I could tell from the start that they are head over heels crazy about each other.
Aisling and Alan put so much effort into this day, but also by so many family members and and their friends. Including doors made as an entrance made by the family, signage made by the groom, floral arch made by groom’s dad. She is an English and Spanish teacher and has huge passion for poetry… So she was picking each of the poems that were included in the ceremony and as table names as well.
Days leading up to the wedding it was pretty gloomy. In the morning it was still raining! But around noon it started clearing up and everything started falling into place. As the final touches were being done Aisling looking at everything was just overwhelmed with emotions and was repeating that she couldn’t be any happier. Everything was just perfect. Glengarriff Lodge really is such a dreamy place! And with everything all done and perfect this place was breathtaking!
Rest of the day was perfect as well, as you’ll be able to see. Aisling and Alan, huge congratulations to you two and thanks you for an awesome experience!!!
And big thanks to my second shooter for the day Michelle from Michelle bg Photography!
